It’s not all love and light
In the age where being positive is hailed
And many tactics are tried to get to bliss
We forget to be authentic
We forget to be real
We forget to human
We make every effort to cast away our heavy feelings
But instead of longing for the euphoria of nirvana
What if we try
To feel anger’s grit and grief’s ache
Breathe through frustration’s irk
Steep into sadness’ melancholy
And when darkness or panic come to visit
Know that its invitation is to metabolize
Stored feelings that didn’t get a chance to be heard
Like the bubblys from the sparkling dry blonde drink
These stowed heavies just want to be released
Gently air them out
Dance them out, talk them out, move them out, yoga them out, paint them out, write them out
Clean out the storage full of emotional debris
Our mass ailment is not a disease of the mind,
It’s a disease of the heart
When we heal our broken hearts,
Our thoughts become positive
It is easy to be grateful
And complaining becomes a thing of the past
So……
Instead of craving for the eternal paradise
Instead of aiming to be perfect
Instead of shooting to be positive
Just try to be authentically human
We might as well… we are here on this beautiful earth
